I was born and raised in Colorado. I love sports and have been involved in them since I was a kid. I also enjoy being active and doing outdoor activities throughout the whole year, such as hiking or snowboarding.
When did you become a member at Defiance West? I have been doing CrossFit style workouts since 2012 and a member of Defiance West since January 2016.
What made you join Defiance West and why do you do it now?
My father had been working out at this gym and convinced me to come in to try a workout. The people here created a welcoming environment and I started seeing results quickly, I loved it. I am now training to play football next year in college.
What were your thoughts after your first workout?
It was one of the hardest workouts I had ever done. It felt great!
What is your athletic background?
I played football, wrestled, and threw in track and field. I enjoy snowboarding during the winter. During the summer I enjoy hiking, camping, and just being outdoors.
What is your favorite movement or workout?
My favorite movement would have to be deadlift. My favorite workout would be Murph.
What is your least favorite?
My least favorites, by far, are burpees or thrusters.
What has been your favorite or proudest moment since joining?
My favorite moment would be getting a double under and eventually being able to link a few together.
How has Defiance West changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness?
Defiance West has improved my day to day life greatly by focusing on functional strength that make everything easier. They have also helped me to push myself to levels of fitness I don’t think I could have achieved without them.
What are your fitness goals for this year?
My fitness goals for this year are to improve on my speed and strength in Olympic style lifts so I can hopefully play football again.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I love to travel and have been to many places, but there are still plenty I’d love to go to.
